I have owned an Ineos Grenadier since February 2025 and have had serious issues with it since the beginning

Since the beginning it has been back to the Dealer 6 times and still has issues – twice on the back of a Truck – for a total of 51 Days and at that stage 

In August 2025– I rejected the Vehicle and the Dealer – Armstrongs Greenlane the Auckland based Ineos Grenadier dealer – rejected our rejection; it went back to them for another 15 Days

In September 2025 I rejected it again - and this time Armstrongs Greenlane the Auckland based Ineos Grenadier dealer just ignored us

In October I filed a claim with the Motor Vehicle Disputes Tribunal; which was heard in December – however the claim was dismissed due to an error in a 1988 law still existing – that of 3,500kg GVM are considered Trucks – and while the law is going to be changed (It also affects a number of other brands and vehicles) we are now faced with taking Armstrongs Greenlane to the District Court – which will cost some $20,000 to $40,000 and take potentially 12 months or more

Right now its in the hands of the lawyers – Armstrongs Greenlane the Auckland based Ineos Grenadier dealer were sent a letter on the 12th May 2026 and 3 weeks later have not replied …

Ineos and the Dealer were sent a draft of the video before it was published for their comment - Ineos Australia called made some verbal statements and were invited to make comments on the facts in writing - they haven't done so …

 It has 3 major issues which experts have looked at and agreed with

  • Transfer Case Grinding – Advised cannot use it anymore
  • Side Steps Rusting
  • ABS Sensor and Wheel Damage

Plus a bunch of others
