Lifeseeker is a system to help find people lost or injured in remote areas with or without cellphone service. The device, Lifeseeker, attaches to a helicopter or plane and allows rescuers to locate people as long as their cellphone is turned on
Lifeseeker is now operational in the USA
Teton County Search and Rescue have purchased the first Lifeseeker system in the USA – Teton County is a small county in the state of Wyoming, Its area includes large National Parks including some of Yellowstone National Park – its population is around 20,000
Search and Rescue personnel hope the technology will shave hours or even days off rescues, in turn saving lives and money.
Former Search and Rescue advisor Tim Ciocarlan can recall a dozen searches or rescues over the past three years when Lifeseeker would have been instrumental in locating a lost or injured person.
“It gives us the opportunity to find someone more quickly and save more lives,” Ciocarlan said.
The Lifeseeker is already in use in Europe and we are the Agents for New Zealand and Australia
